Donations of Pet-Related Products
Every act of kindness makes a difference. At Pets in the Park, we rely on the generosity of people like you to help us provide essential care and comfort to pets of people experiencing homelessness. By donating items you no longer need, you’re helping us create a healthier, happier life for both pets and their owners.
What Items Do We Accept?
We’re grateful for donations of NEW or GENTLY USED pet-related items in clean, good condition. Some of the most needed items include:
✅ Pet bedding, towels – Clean / freshly laundered, and free from holes or damage. Blankets are not needed; you may wish to offer blankets to other local homelessness charities or pet shelters instead.
✅ Pet food and treats – Sealed and within expiry date.
✅ Leads, collars, harnesses – All sizes, in safe and usable condition. Note, we do not accept 'choke'-style slip chains.
✅ Toys – Durable and hygienic.
✅ Bowls – For food and water, preferably stainless steel or plastic in good condition.
✅ Spare pet medications – Must be unopened and within expiry date. Kindly note we do NOT accept 'Schedule 4-D' drugs or 'Schedule 8' drugs in any state or territory.
✅ Veterinary equipment and supplies – Vet clinics can donate unused medical supplies such as syringes, bandages, wound dressings, IV fluids and administration sets (unopened), surgical gloves, gauze, and spare equipment like carriers, scales, sterile instruments, thermometers, stethoscopes, and microchip scanners -- provided the items are clean and functional.
❌ We cannot accept damaged, soiled, or heavily worn items, expired or opened pet medications, human medications, or used/non-sterile medical supplies. Additionally, we’re unable to take homemade pet food, large furniture like kennels or cat trees, or non-pet-related items such as clothing or household goods.

Donating is easy! Simply bring your items along to one of our clinics on their running days. Check the schedule of our clinics in your area: Look out for our friendly volunteers who will be happy to accept your donations. Please ensure all items are clean and packaged securely for transport. |

If you have commercial quantities of goods that you wish to donate, please kindly contact our national support office in advance to discuss / confirm suitable arrangements. |
